In the picture to the left, I am with my brother, Brutus, when we were 10 days old. We were always together. I am the one on the top in both of the pictures.
In the second picture, we were about 3 weeks old. My owners lived right next door, so they came over almost every day to see us, and took pictures every week so we would have them to enjoy and share with you!
My owner took me to the vet last week to get my annual checkup and a test for heartworm, why they do that all the time I don’t know, I take my heartworm pill regularly, but I guess the vet makes a few extra dollars that way.
While we were there, my owner asked about my teeth, and the vet said that yes, indeed, they do need cleaning. I’ve been trying to let my owner know they were bothering me sometimes, by licking my lips (I don’t think we really have lips, but this way you humans will understand). But I didn’t realize that I was going to have to be asleep, have my teeth scraped and maybe some pulled…ugh, I’ll keep you posted on how things go.
On March 31, 1999 I was born in the house next door. My owner was there to watch my birth, I was the first of a litter of 4 Yorkshire Terrier Puppies.
One puppy only survived 4 hours and another was lost a few days later after much effort to save him, but my brother and I are fine, and we think we’re pretty cute!
To the left are pictures of my really pretty Mom, her name was Munchkin. She did a great job of nursing us, and keeping us clean, fat and healthy. When we were little, we stayed in a nice cozy box with a heating pad kept just warm enough so we’d be okay when our Mom had to leave us alone.
