It has been a long time since we have posted to the blog because my owners went to the jersey shore, and they didn’t take me, which made me very sad. Their son was here, but he had to go to work every day. He left “Animal Planet” on the TV for me, very thoughtful, but didn’t replace having my favorite people around me.
I was so happy when they got home, that I ran around the room and back and forth, just like most of us yorkies do when we greet the people we love! Now that my typist is back, we’ll have lots more to share in the week to come! She wants to go to bed, so I better let her stop typing, and give her a doggie-kiss good night.
Bob is a dog who gives great travel and pet tips, and he has a pretty special owner, too. She used to have yorkies, fancy ones that were in shows when she was in the UK. Since I’m “just” a spoiled pet yorkie, I don’t know a lot about shows, but these special yorkshire terriers were “15 point Grand National Champions”. They had really pretty names, not just one name like me. One was Mari’s Royal Trivar Ceasar and Mari’s Lady Portia Mayfair. Oh my, they must have been elegant.
They had those pretty, shiny, long coats of hair, not like me, a curly-haired yorkie…I’m not a show dog type even though I have papers, but I don’t care, my owners love me and that’s all that matters to me…and my snacks!!
I’m not sure, but I think that, just maybe, my blog has enough posts to qualify for a little fun with Social Spark now…my owner is a member, and this blog is already on there, but she said that if we have enough posts in a certain amount of time, then maybe we can give our opinion about things people might want to buy, or websites people might want to visit and get a little money for it! But even if we don’t qualify, we’re having fun making friends there. Wanna see her member page? Click here!
Oh yeh, I forgot to tell you that my little google rank came back! Fun!
We’ve done a brand new page on natural pet remedies, you’ll find it in the list under “pages” in the right column.
I have some allergies from the tree pollen, and the fleas and ticks are all over, so thought it would be good to share an article like this. Hope you like it!
Hi everybody! It’s a new week, and I want to talk about food. I LOVE food, even food that isn’t good for me. I don’t care, as long as it tastes good…but sometimes even though it tastes good, later it makes me sick. So I’ve been listening to my owners talk to each other about what they are feeding me, and here’s some of the things that I’ve heard them say:
Don’t give Aspen cured or overly seasoned meats. Yep, that’s right, those are the ones that taste so good, but always make me sick. And some cured meats have chemical additives in them than aren’t even good for humans, so why feed them to me?
Don’t change Aspen’s dry food to a new food too quickly. Just recently they changed my dry food to another brand, and they gradually added a little bit to my old dry food, then a little bit more, then a little bit more, each time them fed me, so I gradually got used to the food.
Do consider food if Yorkies or dogs like me throw up a lot (I know, yuk, sorry about that), but only if you have changed foods in the past couple weeks. If we get sick a lot, we should be taken to the vet right away.
Do occasionally let us have a little bite of food when we beg for food at the table…well, actually I’m just throwing that one in. That’s a really bad habit, but the big guy owner here who said that would never happen if he ever had a dog sneaks treats from his plate to me all the time. My most favorite is chicken!!!
Those are my tips for today, if I think of more, I’ll let you know! Have a great day and a tail waggin’ week!
