No, I don’t mean where do I go to run around and play, or any of the other things that you might be thinking, I mean, well, GO. You people have it pretty easy because you can use a toilet, for us, snow, especially the 2 feet that we had around here in New Jersey for the past couple of days, can make it difficult for us dogs. Some of the neighbor dogs are really big, so they think this is fun, but for me, if I go out into the snow like it is now, there’s a good chance my owners won’t be able to find me!
Some little dogs can be trained to use a pee-pee pad indoors, I used to do that, but now I think it’s embarrassing and hate to go inside, so last night at about 2 a.m. my owner had to dig a little area outside for me.
You can see me staying close to the cabin where we live where the snow is not deep, but if you look to my right, below is what you will see.
I am really tired of the snow, and look out the window and bark at it when it’s coming down now. I can’t wait for spring, how about you.
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Cryo-Cell International. All opinions are 100% mine.
A while back I did a post about the work that the rescue dogs were doing in Haiti to help rescue people trapped in the rubble after the terrible earthquake there. Even though you don’t hear as much as you used to on the news anymore, there is still tremendous need there…and it’s hard to get your mind around how difficult it is for the people when you live in a comfortable house with plenty of food and water. Their rainy season is going to be starting soon, and many are just living under tarps, we even saw this when we looked at the area using Google Earth, clusters of people and tarps.
There are only a few days left to do something that might help the people of Haiti. Throughout the past month, Cryo-Cell has been donating $25 to “Save the Children:Haiti Relief Fund” whenever someone enrolls with them. Cryo-Cell is a cord bank, you may know what that is, but if you don’t, it’s a place that harvests stem cells from your newborn baby’s umbilical chord after birth so that you have them in case they are needed for health reasons later on…they are an absolute perfect match to your child. Isn’t that amazing? They didn’t have things like this when my owners had their babies. So if your child were to suffer from a disease later in life, and stem cells were needed for whatever reason, you would not have to find a matching donor, you would have the stem cells you need already.
If you are interested, click to enroll now or to learn more about this…if this is for you, and you enroll, not only are you helping children here, but children in Haiti.
I thought I’d just write a fun post about something I like to do for a change…and that would be spending time in the kitchen… LOTS of time… looking in the kitchen cabinet, watching for mice. Mice have come and literally stolen food out of my food dish right in front of me then run under the oven so I can’t get them, so I’ve started taking matters into my own paws, and insist that my owners leave the door open all night long.
In fact, they were feeling sorry for me because I’d lay on the very cold floor (they keep it cold around here) and so now they even park my bed in front of the cabinet before they go to bed. I’d like to think it’s because they are being nice, but have a feeling it’s because they know I’ll have a barking fit if they don’t, works every time>:-)<
Unfortunately, since I’ve started doing this, we haven’t had any mice, guess that means I’m doing a good job, but to tell the truth, it’s no fun if there isn’t a mouse every now and then. Okay, here I go, back to my post at the cabinet again!
My owner is watching the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show now. Last night she watched ice skating on the Winter Olympics, so recorded the dog show to watch today. Imagine, the dog show taking second place to the Winter Olympics!
The hound group is up now, and the judge is looking them over to make his final decision, they all look beautiful (my owner says…I think I’m jealous) as they make their rounds…and he chooses the Whippet as the winner of the hound group. We have to watch more to see the rest…and be sure we don’t listen to the news so the results will still be a surprise…hope we haven’t spoiled any surprises for you.
We did a page online about the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, it’s hard to believe that the show has been happening for 134 years, that’s a lot of history. I hope you enjoy visiting our page, we’ll update it after the show.
