I have been putting together a place for you to look at my pictures, and also look at some nice Yorkshire Terrier art. We had fun putting together “Yorkie Pictures and Artwork” and hope you’ll stop by for a visit.
There are pictures of me all through my life, and we had fun matching artwork with the pictures. You’ll find other Yorkie things there, too, so we hope you’ll stop by for a visit and let us know what you think.
My owner has some art prints listed on ebay that she wants me to tell you about. They are all prints of dogs by an artist named Gladys Emerson Cook who lived from 1899-1976. She did many wonderful animal pictures, and other beautiful art.
They are original prints, and when you click on the picture that interests you as they scroll by in the widget below, you can see more information about the picture.
The price she is asking for the prints is much lower than others that she has seen, so she thinks it’s a fair price. Have fun looking, oh, and we hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend.
That is what I asked my owner when she said we were going to be writing about mouse pads that we can get with our pictures on them. Why? Because I know that back in the “hippy days” as she calls them, people lived in “pads”, that was slang for the apartment or room that you lived in.
The other thing that I got confused about was anything to do with mice, when a mouse comes to visit in our kitchen cabinet, I spend a lot of time barking at it, because that’s what Yorkies do, tracking down small critters comes natural to us.
But she isn’t talking about any of the above, she is talking about something that people use when they are working on their desktop computers. They take this little thing called a mouse and move it around on a pad, and it makes things happen on the computer screen.
The only thing that sounded fun about all of this “mouse pad” stuff was the thought that maybe we could get a mouse pad with my picture on it, or our picture on it, so we went to visit a site where you can get custom mouse pads made and looked around a little bit. First we clicked on the “Custom Designs” link, and a little search box popped up, so we put “Yorkie” in it, then “Yorkshire Terrier” to see if they have any mouse pads with dogs like me on them, and guess what, THEY DID! We wanted to copy the image and bring it over here to show you, but I guess you’re not allowed to do that, so you’ll have to visit and search for yourself. Maybe you have a different kind of animal or thing that you would like to search for.
And what if you don’t like the way the pet or thing that you search for looks, and think that a picture you have is better? No problem at all, you can design your own mouse pad right there at the site, including picture and any text you want on it, and order it. You just upload the picture that you want on it during the process, so easy!! So fun!
My owner and I made a new friend on Twitter, and she does beautiful sculptures of dogs, so we asked her if she did sculptures of Yorkies.
Today when we logged in to Twitter we found a reply from NanjoDogz (twitter.com/nanjoDogz) and there was a link to some beautiful work, and by the way, we’re not getting paid to tell you about this, we’re just doing it because we like anything Yorkie, makes sense, right? Plus we love art because we have lots of people who are artists in the family, so couldn’t resist.
This is my friend, Pixel. Pixel visits here a lot, and leaves funny and nice comments on my posts.
Pixel is a Yorkie-Poo, I hope I spelled that right and won’t tell you what I thought it meant at first (LOL), because Pixel’s human, the famous “Pop Art Diva” said she is called that because she is partly poodle. But only about 10% so that’s why she’s almost totally a Yorkie just like me!!
I’ll tell you why her picture looks like it does in a minute…but first, this cute little Yorkie lives in Arizona, and loves to travel to art shows with her owner. I’ve also heard she LOVES her cookies!
Now for the picture, if you are owned by a talented artist, I guess this is what happens to your picture, your hair gets a “Photoshop Grooming”. I bet that if you have a dog picture that needs a Photoshop Grooming, the Pop Art Diva can do it for you, but I’m not sure, you’ll have to ask her. She has a really colorful website right here, and you can find her colorful blogs from there.
AND, not to be outdone, Pixel is going to have her own blog, just like I do. Her blog is going to be pixelthepuppy.com, if you go there now, and there is nothing but a hosting service page, come back and try again soon!
