I’ve been busy writing about the Scottish Deerhound named Hickory, the dog that won “Best in Show” at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this year, and a couple of other dogs in the show, and have missed posting to my readers here.
My owner is Scottish, so liked the idea that a dog that had it’s origins in Scotland won the show. Some who don’t understand how dogs are judged may think that a Scottish Deerhound, part of the Hound group, isn’t the most beautiful dog, but I’ve heard that they are a sight to see running across a field. Here is a picture of a Scottish Deerhound…it isn’t the coloring that we are accustomed to now, they are bred to look more gray now:
We like to write about Yorkie pictures, health, toys, breeding and other things on this blog, and maybe some of you already know that we also have another favorite place that we like to write. It’s a site called “Squidoo“. This week they added a new pet template called “SquidPaws” and lots of our friends posted stories about their pets. I have done a few pages already on Squidoo, so we thought we’d put them all together on one page called a “Lensography”, so that’s what we did!
If you want to visit my Squidoo lensography, then visit this link to “A Yorkshire Terrier’s (Yorkie) Lensography“. You’ll find all our pages there, and links to some of our pet and people friends on Squidoo. I hope you’ll stop by for a visit!
I am not the only pet my owners have had…they’ve had gerbils, ferrets, a cat, box turtles, and other animals while their children were growing up. One of those “other animals” was pet hamsters. So this week, when my owner took part in a challenge on Squidoo about pets, she didn’t pick me to talk about, but teddy bear hamsters.
She even said that she’d like to get another one…now that is something she’s going to have to think about a bit, because it comes natural to us Yorkies to want to catch mice, and hamsters are in the rodent family.
I have been putting together a place for you to look at my pictures, and also look at some nice Yorkshire Terrier art. We had fun putting together “Yorkie Pictures and Artwork” and hope you’ll stop by for a visit.
There are pictures of me all through my life, and we had fun matching artwork with the pictures. You’ll find other Yorkie things there, too, so we hope you’ll stop by for a visit and let us know what you think.
Then you might want to visit my owner’s main “Lensmaster page” to see ALL the Squidoos she does, her most popular is “Is New Jersey Weird”, the Yorkshire Terrier one is 2nd in line, but you might want to visit some others too…like “Strumming the Autoharp”, and her blogs about Bird Feeding, Box Turtles, and even Gravestones. Have fun!
