Support Our Military, Shop at Sears

Aspen | Other Sites,Videos | Friday, 28 November 2008

First, my owners and I hope all of you had a thankful Thanksgiving.

I love Thanksgiving, because everyone likes to eat a lot, and they share their Turkey with me if I beg nicely and look really cute.

Then after Thanksgiving, there is a day that people call Black Friday, a funny name for a day when they have a lot of great sales and a lot of people go shopping. Some people don’t mind all the crowds in the stores, but my owner likes to Christmas Shop online.

She’s been getting a lot of emails from friends telling her to shop at Sears because they have a special program going on that helps our military heroes and their families called “Heroes at Home”.

First of all, we clicked on the link you’ll find at the end of this post, and saw that there was a free mp3 download and Video of “My Favorite Things” by Trisha Yearwood, the Country singer.  She’s also a supporter of “Heroes at Home”. Next we went to a link to learn more about “Heroes at Home”. We clicked on the “See How You Can Help” link, and when we got there, could read about how many people have been helped, and saw that we could make a donation. When you donate, money that is collected will be given in equal amounts to military families in the form of Sears Gift Cards.

To learn more about this, you’ll have to visit this Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry link. And while you’re there, you can shop for things on sale this weekend, and from now until Christmas without having to deal with all the crowds at the store, and without leaving your favorite little furry, feathered or finned friend behind. I don’t like it when my owners leave me alone.

Does Sears have any gifts for pets? We’re going to have to take a look and see, but I bet they do!
