I hope your little dog is doing better as I am replying a few days after your question, but I would simply flush out the eyes with Bausch & Lomb Sensitive Eyes Plus saline solution....this is what our Vet suggested and it is so inexpensive...a large bottle lasts for a long long time. As a side note, my husband uses it on his eyes as well rather than the small bottles of eye drops. Yes, this is a solution for contacts. You can carefully remove the crusty "stuff" with your fingers and the goopy stuff from the eyes very gently with a cotton ball. Flush again after cleaning around the eyes. This is an ongoing problem with our Yorkie, and the vet told us it is not infection but allergy and sometimes irritation from their own hair getting in the eyes...so keeping eyes clear of hair is important too. I have to clean my dogs eyes almost daily now.

We think our little Yorkie may have pink eye in one eye. Any suggested treatments until we can get him to the vet? They don't have any appointments until next week. His one eye is watering a good deal and there is a significant amount of 'goop' for about the last 12 hours.

Thanks,
