I fell in love with themwhen I lived in DC for all of the reasons you mentioned - don't shed much, didn't bark much, small enough for my apartment, smart, loyal, protective, and just plain cute! I loved them so much I actually was a breeder myself for a while. That ended when I moved to Hawaii and didn't want to subject my babies to the flight and the quarantine. But my affection for the breed never ended and I just recently purchased a new little guy - named Austin. Don't know if I will get back into breeding or showing again. But it's great having another little Yorkie in the house again! Yorkies are a wonderful breed. Our goofy, wonderful Yellow Lab has been gone for a year, and we'll be pondering whether or not to bring a pooch back into our lives.
